Developing New CHIP Apartment Communities

The Multi-Family Department develops apartment communities for low-and very-low income residents utilizing a variety of local, State, Federal, and private funding sources.

Development activities include new construction, acquisition rehabilitation, preservation, and historic rehabilitation to house individuals and families residing in Butte, Glenn, Tehama, Shasta and Yuba counties.  CHIP has built or rehabbed 586 units of multi-family housing.

Property amenities may include laundry facilities, gardens, playgrounds, computer rooms, sports courts, and meeting facilities with kitchens.
